This is, okay I guess. Nothing bad here to be honest, just nothing special or great either. Just an album you would expect from Judas Priest, just not too memorable or epic. Feels like they could do so much better, they could have explored some ideas more than just keeping it safe most the time.

They redeemed their own souls at least, after that terrible fucking concept album and a slew of garbage CDs in the 00s.

On Priests 17th studio outing, the don't cover any new ground, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This album is leagues above it's predecessor Nostradamus, in the way that there is actually memorable content on this album. Despite this, Redeemer of Souls still has some pretty big issues that stop it from being a good album.
