I can't really rate this one. I can take or leave the covers themselves (some of them are completely misguided, some of them are rather good but could never hold a candle to the originals). If Scott hadn't befallen his personal tragedy, I think I might have even approached this with some annoyance.

I've been excited about this album for a while now, and it's finally here, does it hold a candle to my hype?
I already adore the Biffy cover, and really all the other singles that were released. This definitely feels a lot more energetic than the original, there's also quite a broad spectrum of genres here, country, folk, heavy rock, hell even a little shoegaze, that can be taken as a good or bad thing, that's up to the listener, I personally like it as both, this definitely works, but I feel ... read more
