I adore this album. Every detail is perfect. The lyrics are super poetic and personally relatable to me. There's so much darkness and frustration at the core of the record. It's the kind of experience where I want to scream along every word and maybe cry a little.
Also, the production has the perfect blend of being accessible and creative at the same time.
My favorite album of all time

Can't wait to see them live in a couple weeks for the tenth anniversary tour for this very album!
as an artist, this album is extremely influential to me. no album speaks to me on an artistic level this much. personally too, this album hits hard as fuck at times. sleepyhead is one of the most iconic indie electronic songs of all time for good reason. there seriously isn't a single bad song on this album. at all.

i love this album to death man.
This is an indie-pop album that perfectly captures the summer around its release. Between 2004 and 2012, there seemed to at least one album each that achieved this tonal and spiritual trophy.
Coming from Boston, Massachusetts (YUS!!!), Passion Pit has a bunch of surprises up their sleeves. Delivering enough catchy, melodic, and well-produced songs about love. Michael Angelakos' voice can be grating at times, though.
