I actually was looking forward to this release as BJ The Chicago Kid is often a fun feature when he is a part of other releases. However, it seems that a full album from the artist just doesn't totally land.

The vocals on this are still soulful and well delivered, but inevitably this album just suffers from sounding generic and somewhat bland. The lyricism is one of the biggest factors to this, as these songs just don't have a lot of flair in terms of writing. Even at other times (big ... read more
In My Mind was his only solo project that stood on its own, otherwise, he can't quite make the magic on solo records he does in the studio on features with more thematically well-rounded, literary minded artists.
This is pretty boring and uneventful, the r&b/Hip-Hop equivalent to unseasoned chicken, its not bad just basic af, best as background music if you're doing something else
