got better by the end, but this is largely meandering and uninteresting. whispered vocals got really monotonous and grating, and felt oddly incongruent with the instrumentals.
I don't remember disliking the lead singers voice on previous albums as much as I did on this listen, but it feels a little too breath-y for me with not a lot of range. At least there's a lot of features make up for it.
Production is good, but I feel like it doesn't compliment the singers as much as I'd wanted.
Not Sorry, Up From Here, and Fear are stand outs for me, but again..mostly because of the features. I recognize the good part, but overall I was a a little bored ... read more
