"Face Stabber" is an aggressive, well-produced record with some great ideas and fun moments. However, it shares the same exact problems I had with "Smote Reverser" only worse. The tracks drag and meander for way too long, with some of the lengthier tracks often never presenting themselves with new hooks until minutes later.

There are some obvious parellels to contrast Oh Sees with their psychedelic contemporaries King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. You can always expect an album from both groups each year, sometimes more, and you can always expect some level of consistency from both acts.
