7/10 - Pretty good.

The young, grammy-awarded Jacob Collier shows his multi-talent in Djesse Vol. 2.

The record starts off beautifully as an acoustic folk album. Sounding oddly human and grounded.
But it's impossible to isolate this into one genre. Collier borrows, refines and makes his own of
so many genres that calling this a folk album, calling this a pop album or calling this a jazz album would be falling way short of being descriptive.

Djesse (Vol. 2) started off with a beautiful laid back acoustic folk album. This unfortunately didn't last long as halfway through it became your average Jacob Collier album of trying to be as complex as possible. I was happy to see something so stripped back as time to rest your head finishing off the album, this is one of Jacobs most emotional songs yet and what he needs to do more of. Some great tracks but became a disappointment midway through. Better than Djesse (Vol. 1) however.
