For all the hate that Nickelback get, their early albums are actually great. This record does what it says on the tin, it delivers 10 catchy hard rock/post grunge tracks that are great to put on in the background. This record has some great aggressive tracks (“Just For” and “Hangnail”), and even sees the band experiment with slide guitars and country twangs (“Good Times Gone”). DAY 3 OF NICKELBACK REVIEWS (GOD SAVE ME):
Outside of How you remind me which is admittedly a pretty catchy tune, i don't remember a single track off this album. NO WAIT, there was "too bad" which was okay.
Its TOO BAD i've got to listen to the rest of these albums for my full discography review. This album was just so boring, like oh my G O D. Nickelback has improved lyrically and quality wise in production and instrumentation. I can actually hear chad's lyrics most of the time now ... read more

This bo burnham quote literally defines what this album is all about, every single song isnt enjoyable until the chorus hits, then it goes back to being uninspired, generic and formulaic.
Even tho Nickelback tries some "new" things it just doesn't sound good and well the weird production doesnt help at all.

"How You Remind Me" is a perfect song, I don't care if it's a meme. But honestly...............it's not the worst album ever made.

"How You Remind Me" still holds up and "Too Bad" is good enough to listen to every now and then.
