Metal Injection
More than ever before, Babymetal are promoting a positive and timely message of global unity. You can love or hate their music, but there’s no stopping the emotional and creative forces that fuel it.

Metal Sucks

Sure, Metal Galaxy is a J-pop album put together by a canny producer with a veritable army of contributors. The collective known as Babymetal never rests on its laurels, though. They keep things fun, catchy, and varied all the way through ... Long live Babymetal and their intergalactic domination!

Consequence of Sound

From the creative songwriting to the engaging performances, Metal Galaxy is certainly out of this world. With its awesome blend of musical styles, all infused with some form of metal aggression, this record is BABYMETAL at their most adventurous.

Gigwise

Sure, it’s extremely well-produced and polished, to a point of occasional sickly sweetness, and the sometimes squeaky vocals and cheesy, inoffensive themes might not be to everyone's taste, but Metal Galaxy had me bopping along with a beaming smile throughout its whole 57 minute runtime, which is more than I can say for most metal releases this year.

Kerrang!

On Metal Galaxy, what little caution they had left has been thrown headlong into a hurricane, and they’re only stronger for it.

Metal Hammer
In a genre that can sometimes value authenticity over all else, there is no one else like Babymetal and our world is all the better for it.

AllMusic
Metal Galaxy tweaks the recipe just enough to feel fresh while maintaining the meticulous attention to detail and decibels that have made the group such an unlikely international success.

God Is in the TV

All in all, Metal Galaxy prepares fans for an even more exciting live showpiece, one with catchy anthems and unusual flavours within that mix.

Clash
The band is trying to branch out to new sonic territories, and at the end of the day, where else are you going to get such a batshit mixture of cultures? Ronguraibujapan!

NME
Scoff if you will – or just enjoy the shamelessly unpredictable and giddy joy that lay within this record.

The Guardian
The intensity of Metal Galaxy makes it a hard sell, but, at their best, Babymetal make clashing elements surprisingly cogent, not to mention fun.

Babymetal are a Japanese Pop Metal band that I have NEVER heard of, but after listening to their third studio album, I want to stay the fuck away from them.

Their newest album, Metal Galaxy, is a damn chore to get through. It's an annoying, headache inducing, piece of shit album that deserves to be sent to hell with no coming back.

Metal Galaxy is what happens if you try to make a collaboration work, when you know it won't.

BabyMetal we ... read more

FUCK OFF, RAP NERDS! THIS ALBUM ISN'T FOR YOU! Bold of you to assume BABYMETAL is here to please your bland taste in music in any ways. YOU DON'T GET ANY BITMAPGANG IN TRUE MUSIC - TRUE J-ROCK MUSIC! Also, "Alternative Metal"? Which cursed punks allowed this gorgeous album to be associated with generic white men's productions?!

"METAL GALAXY" is not your typical album. You won't find anything "kawaii" while adoring these goth divas and their assumed aesthetic. ... read more

Cancer...

Edit - this whole band is one big cancer.

Everything here is bad, starting with the name of the band and ending with the voices of singers

I actually enjoyed their last album, but this is just obnoxious. At least for the most part. Tracks like Pa Pa Ya leave me wanting to die but other tracks like Starlight are some of the best metal tracks of the year. There are just as many songs I see as terrible as there are ones that I love. Still, I look forward to their future and I'm excited to see where they will go next.
