I find it quite disrespectful to listen to this album while taking a shit
not to sound headass but i'm convinced that if you like belle & sebastian enough then you'd enjoy it even if they make less interesting versions of songs that made them interesting
I shouldn't come down too hard on a random Stuart Murdoch-produced soundtrack that hardly anyone outside of the Belle & Sebastian diehards will even listen to; as an album independent of its movie, “Days of the Bagnold Summer” is for completists. But even Murdoch’s secondary projects have been worth listening to in the past, and “God Help the Girl” proved that the man could write a quality soundtrack (if perhaps not a quality movie).
