Maybe Nas never really lost it, but The Lost Tapes II sounds like an artist rediscovering his love for hip hop in the most joyous and satisfying way.
Unreleased tracks recorded over the course of nearly 15 years. I’m rather glad most of these didn't make it albums like Hip Hop Is Dead or Life Is Good, cause those are actually good projects. Regardless, No Bad Energy is incredible. The choir-type background is heavenly, and Nas flows on it really nicely.
