[MY10 CHALLENGE: DAY 8]
My 100 today baybeeeeeee
“The futile, the futile, it outweighs the beautiful.”
This review is not for you. It is for me, and not a damned other soul. It's a middle finger to my mental state. A confrontation of my sexual frustrations. What is probably going to either be my best or worst review.
This isn’t going to be like anything else I’ve written. Don’t think this is gonna be like Wildlife, Garbage, or even The Devil and God are Raging ... read more
MY10 CHALLENGE: DAY 8 (@CLJesse's 10)
Oh baby, I've been waiting to talk about this album! As you can see this is one of CLJesse's 10s for the challenge but I also have this album at a 10. Yeah, it's that freaking good people. Obviously, this is my opinion but I think this is the greatest pop punk album ever written. I have made it no secret that I come to this genre for the fun that it brings. Pop punk is an odd genre to tackle. This genre is notorious for producing both good and fun albums ... read more
One of the best emo/pop punk albums of the 2000s and of all-time, in my opinion. The lyrics are so witty and humorous and there’s a reason why this is considered a classic by many fans of the genre. There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said before, but this is a must listen for sure.
Favorites: Belt, Woe, The Writhing South, Alive With the Glory of Love, Yellow Cat (Slash) Red Cat, Spidersong, Every Man Has a Molly, I Want To Know Your Plans, Wow, I Can Get ... read more
An album that defies categorization, often described as "penis music" due to its raw and unfiltered approach. It's a whirlwind of emotion, self-doubt, and angst that resonates deeply with anyone navigating the tumultuous waters of adolescence and early adulthood. With brutally honest lyrics and a punk-rock edge, it's a musical rollercoaster that captures the messiness of life and love in a refreshingly unapologetic way, making it a cult classic that still holds its own today.
such a surprisingly good album that really touches on some subjects that hit pretty deep for me personally. I love the whiny pop punk vocals imo and i know a lot of others hate it so this is another album that I wouldn't neccesarily reccomend to everyone but if this is the kinda shit youre into them dammit its so good, and if you take the time to listen kind of profound and disturbing and times, despite the overall sound.
