While he's obviously past his prime, Rick Ross proves he's got some pears left on the tree and delivers a project worthy of the Port of Miami name. Big budget features, many of whom owe Ross and MMG for their stardom, dominate the entirety of the album yet Ross' booming voice remains at the forefront. Maximalist production, lyrics touting the life of luxury Rozay has accustomed himself to, and occasional cringe-inducing moments (the skit with Rick and his girl talking about how she ... read more

This album is not as impressive as Rick Ross has been before, but it is still sufficient enough to entertain for an hour. There were a few songs on here that should’ve been left off, but other than that it is a solid project. Bogus Charms is one of those songs that should’ve been left off, it sounds like a Jaden Smith song that was just taken off of SYRE or ERYS. The production throughout the album is interesting enough to keep the audience hooked and Ross’ smokey delivery is ... read more

I appreciate Ross's consistency, he always got some good tracks in this albums and is always able to maintain a certain level of quality for the rest.

Rick Ross is an amazing feature artist, but a whole project of his is extremely underwhelming, especially when he recycles hip-hop tropes of the past decade with guest vocalists on the choruses of numerous tracks here. A handful of the features are pretty underwhelming too, such as late Nipsey Hussle's on the disappointing and confused Rich Nigga Lifestyle, and YFN Lucci on I Still Pray. A lot of the sounds here just feel really dated and bland, which is a shame seeming how much I love Ross on ... read more

This album is REALLY REALLY REALLY surprising. The most i've heard about rick ross is that "he exists", so i wasn't really expecting a good album even if the singles were good and i was predicting a 73. I still had my doubts. But this makes me wanna check out more rick ross. I think the beats are absolutely awesome. There are some 2 track hiccups here and there but overall this is a good album. All of the singles grew on me too.

Very solid content, but a couple low-points like the Dj Loaf and YFN Lucci features are way to soft for an album called "Port of Miami 2", and interrupt the vibe bringing you out of that atmosphere. Best cuts: Vegas Residency, Rich Nigga Lifestyle ft. Nipsey, BIG TYME, Born to Kill ft. Jeezy, & Turnpike Ike

Wow, I had two albums that I thought that were just gonna be decent today, this album and the trippie album. The trippie album completely dissapointed but this Ross album exceeded my expectations! The singer in Bogus Charms was amazing

Port of Miami 2 is another solid album from Rick Ross, who might just have one of the best discographies in hip hop. I never expect nothing less than stellar beats, solid bars, and impressive features. Port of Miami 2 came close to being all that. I really enjoyed this project and most of the features on here brought there a-game. The part where this loses on me is the filler. There's a couple songs on here like White Lines that don't need to be here and don't add much to the album. I also ... read more

Another typical Ross album, but he's still doing it well.

Going into this album, I was a little nervous because of the 66-minute run time. Because this album was so long, it started to get very repetitive, and Rick Ross' flow made the album seem even longer than 66 minutes. I wasn't excited for this album, even with all of the features on it. I was disappointed with both the Denzel Curry and the Drake feature on this album. The only takeaway was: Nobody's Favorite.

This album is fiercely consistent with great beats and enjoyable production. The only thing slowing down this album is Ross's pen game, which isn't necessarily bad, it's just not great. - 0.5

This, simply put, is a Rick Ross album. There's as many decent bars as are there are laughable ones; there's as many fire beats on here as there are dull ones; there's as many red hot features as there are lukewarm ones; and there's as many bangers on here as there are filler tracks. Clocking in at over an hour long was always gonna be a hard sell for me, but it honestly isn't as bad as I was expecting. Rick Ross is too good of a rapper to outright flop, with tracks like Turnpike Ike, ... read more

Not a bad Rick Ross project tbh. He's got that swagger that's been with him since the first PoM and his raps haven't really progressed or regressed. If there's a man out there with quality consistency it's Mr Rozay. The features are a bit much at times and the one feature we all wanted got removed (Pusha T off Maybach Music VI). Songs like "Born to Kill" and "I Still Pray" come across as lazier ventures but they're not unlistenable. Most songs run a bit longer than they ... read more

Going into this, I kinda expected a lame compilation of songs with no lyricism or originality. However, I was only half-right. While the lyrics are hilariously lousy (kind of Rick Ross’ MO at this point) and the songs didn’t feel too interconnected, I can’t say I didn’t enjoy this. The beats are really good for the most part, the features are all fantastic and I can say there’s definitely some fire tracks on this thing. Now a big problem for me is the song lengths. ... read more

Rick Ross has had some prettY LACKLUSTER albums(Mastermind, Black Market, rise tonpower, trilla, hood billionaire) and then some above aveeage albums(Port Of Miami, Teflon Don) and the rest are pretty good even though none of them are 80+. Thiss falls into the above average category.

EDIT: Listening to it more it's gone down significantly since it does get tired to listen to a few of these tracks that do feel generic and aged, there's a lot of missed potential in the rapping department and I was truly hoping for more replay value to come out of it.

Solid collection of bangers, great features (even though I'm disappointed Pusha got cut) and pretty good production. Considering the slow weeks there's been this one's a welcome surprise with the immense talent and flash that ... read more

Rick Ross has one of the deepest discographies for a MC active in the game right now, and showed that he still had plenty of gas in the tank with his most recent LP "Rather You Than Me" a few years ago. The Miami legend's albums nearly always carry hour-plus runtimes and while a part of me finds plenty of deep cuts of his that I play again and again, I find myself wishing Ross could bring himself to put together a project with as concise of a runtime as "Teflon Don" ... read more
