Niggas on the Moon finds Death Grips drawing from themselves rather than pushing things forward, a deviation from their mission statement.

niggas on the moon primarily relies on the band’s chaotic, ever-evolving sonic disposition — and as a bonus, we’ve never heard Ride sound quite like this. It’s an exciting proposition.

After listening to the complete The Powers That B double album many many times in the past few months, I decided to split my reviews, as the two halves really have nothing to do with each other, and work better as individual works in my opinion.

This is most defiantly one of Death Grips most experimental and off the wall releases...possibly ever. And when Death Grips is already so off the wall its not even in the same room, that's saying something. From the nearly nauseating Bjork samples to the strange-even-for-Death-Grips lyrics, it's a strange dip into the mind of Death Grips.

I truly adore this release from Death Grips, their most underrated in my opinion. This is an intoxicating euphoria of an album. The production here is mind-blowingly brilliant and infectious, with a lot of these tracks revolving around consistent Bjork sampling.
