I like her style, she’s a great artist but this album is very inconsistent, like, she’s not shaping her persona the way she should. Few ideas and no singularity. The best songs here are the singles
I think King Princess has huge potential to be a great queer artist and it shows on a number of songs. I think the production is great, her songwriting is catchy and pretty solid and her vocals are really good. The big problem I have with "Cheap Queen" is that the tracklist is extremely inconsistent.

Fav Tracks: Prophet, Cheap Queen, Ain't Together, Tough On Myself, You Destroyed My Heart, Trust Nobody, Homegirl

Least Fav Tracks: Do You Wanna See Me Crying?

best: tough on myself*, cheap queen, ain’t together, do you wanna see me crying?, prophet, hit the back, isabel’s moment

Clearly, she was an artist who I saw as having a lot of potential. While I feel like her debut album Cheap Queen is too inconsistent to fulfil her full potential, the best tracks are fantastic. Songs like “Hit The Back” add dance beats which give them a more upbeat edge. My biggest problem with ... read more
