One half of San Francisco’s experimental electronica duo, Matmos, Drew Daniel offers his debut as very much a pink glitter ball around which to writhe to warped sampling, in a style referred to as ‘mutant disco’. The party seems to have been called off at the album’s midpoint, but overall, Daniel keeps it exuberant enough.
