Drew Daniel focuses his experimental techno-house on revitalising punk rock standards from the late Seventies and Early Eighties. In the album’s description of itself, it seeks to provide: ‘a comparative analysis of ideological positions in English punk rock and American hardcore songwriting’. Therein lies the flaw in this work, where the electro grooves seem at odds with the hardcore messages within the original artists’ material.
