No, i'm not fucking kidding. Hobo Johnson may have made one of the best records of the year.

Hobo Johnson, as you all may know, has been a decisive artist for sure. His last project was one of the worst reviewed and revived records of the year it came out, and the label that Hobo's music was nothing but pretentious garbage was labeled pretty quickly. While I pretty much disliked Hobo's last album, I saw a flood load of potential for the dude, and was eager to hear where he would go next. Is he ... read more

"This is self-pity and marketed depression for degenerate teenagers from the the upper class and associative cryptopedophiles"

You can think that this sentence sums up "The Fall of Hobo Johnson". But, personally, I cannot believe the backlash this album has received in recent days. Good

My initial question going in: why is this good?
Hobo Johnson created a truthful, thought-provoking, and nearly heart-wrenching group of tracks on "The Fall of Hobo Johnson". Unlike his debut, this record really goes in-depth on his mental state, and is brutally honest with, while still chiming up some respectability in the lyrics. The record does drop off a bit in quality towards the end, but the all-encompassing mood of volatile mental health is still there.
