Compellingly unpredictable, ! is doubtless part of the genre’s forward march – but it’s hard to get past the sense that White has sacrificed a coherent artistic identity in the name of progress.
! is more numbing than visceral. After it's done, it's hard to remember anything that was worth latching onto.
The Carti song really wasn't anything special. Trippie Redd removing that song from the album is him accepting failure as an artist. At this point, he doesn't control his own albums, the fans do. I was never the biggest fan of Trippie, but with songs like Topanga I thought he showed real promise and could've brought some fresh new ideas to hip hop music.

I really love the vibe also the fact that the runtime's just enough that it doesn't get boring and i'm not left wanting more.
Mid tracks are still in place, but that's expected, now that I've listened the to most of his discography.
