Me, jokingly, when the album started: trap died when the first kid said "trap's not dead!"

Me, when the album ended: curiosity killed the cat, thank GOD I'm not a cat.

The Carti song really wasn't anything special. Trippie Redd removing that song from the album is him accepting failure as an artist. At this point, he doesn't control his own albums, the fans do. I was never the biggest fan of Trippie, but with songs like Topanga I thought he showed real promise and could've brought some fresh new ideas to hip hop music.
Nope, wrong. He has a distinct sound that blurs the line between emo rap and trap, but what else? Well-written and thought provoking ... read more

I just heard a song where even Carti's verse sucked. That's a fucking achievement.

Wow he actually flexed on us with his airpods, what a rich madlad omg!!

“I got earpods in, you dig?
Airpods, I meant, ahem, fuck, I'm rich, yeah”

Well this album is exactly what we all expected prior to the release of this album, judging from how much work he has put out in the past years and judging from the quality of those albums there was just one way this album could’ve sounded. It is very mediocre with the high point here and there in the tracklisting.

This one time a few weeks ago I went up to TheSoundBinge and I was all like 'hey Amy gimme an artist to listen to rn' and she was like 'Trippie Redd'

So I listened to A Love Letter To You and it was alright, guy can actually kinda somewhat rap sometimes tbh I just think he sounds very shit when he sings in basically any context

Unfortunately tho, that is what this new album '!' consists of like 90% of the time, also hated the production on here, the way the kicks were obnoxiously mixed in all ... read more

UPDATE : God the production on this album is bland.
And yeah, the Playboi Carti situation is cursed and hilarious at the same time. I mean, his feature didn't carry this album, but it's just because this mf album is a mess goddamn. So yeah, I like the album a bit less without the song. :(

Under enemy arms is a great single, but ! is a step backwards from ALLTY 3. More rap oriented and less singing included, Trippie goes a little bit out of his comfort zone. And since he's not the very best ... read more

Trippie, Where did Carti verse go? Please give it back and I will increase the score of your album.

Trippie Redd is a tolerable emo rapper. I'm not a big fan of emo rap but I like "Life's a Trip" and the trilogy "A Love Letter to You" quite a bit. I think the aesthetics of Trippie Redd's albums are pretty cool, many of his songs are solid. Trippie is not a horrible singer and can easily go from singing to rap. But his new album "!" is fucking too lazy. With this ... read more

Trippie Redd's "!" Managed to make me feel like I was high and floating which is pretty much all I ask for on an album like this, Production is a bit rough and lyrics are basic, but it has an aesthetic that is powerful. I felt good listening to this album and had no major issues with the album until "RIOT." It was a nice auto pilot drug trip.

The vocals are processed as all hell, and it just sounds nice. It is like a druggy dream.

Well the carti song is gone so I guess I have to take some points away...
This thing is really falling off...

I have been a fan of his for a while now and at first I was very hyped for this new album because i thought that Under Enemy Arms was a great single, but the next two, Mac 10 and the title track were much more disappointing, bot bad, but not great either.

Yall on some good crack. I started to love Trippe Redd after listening to "Life's A Trip". That project showed that he is one of the most unique voices in modern Trap. This album is not as good as "Life's A Trip" but I still really like it. The production is some of his most layered and dynamic. The lyrics are kinda hit or miss but Trippie's personality propels the good ones. His singing has improved a lot. The one song I need to mention is "Under Enemy Arms". This ... read more

Another Trippie Redd release, another batch of lukewarm bread that prevents him another shot for a structurally sound record in terms of quality, with sporadic florishes popping out in places; only this time served with a side of headass.

Honestly, who am I to complain? The guy had just dropped his most consistent work to date with the third installment of his A Love Letter To You series while simultaneously churning out career-defining singles one track after between 2017 & 2018. I'm just ... read more

I didn't really enjoy this project.

Trippie Redd has always been a little bit of a guilty plessure artist to me. Songs like 'Topanga', 'Taking A Walk', and 'Shake It Up' are tracks I frequently listen to when I'm studying or even when writing reviews, because I can really chill out to them if I want too. So when I saw that Trippie released a new album a few days ago, I was really excited about it. But damn, this disappointed me a little bit.

This album just screams mediocrity in most of his ... read more

I had low expectations going into this album, but I didn't expect it to be that bad. Bland trap beats and Trippie's repetative, pathetic lyrics all create a really poor project. At least there is a decent Carti verse on here.

"Please nigga don't kill yourself. Say no to suicide, don't die on me!" - Trippie Redd

I know singles don't always guarantee a good album, but this is easily one of the worst drops in quality from singles to album I've ever heard. Mac 10 and Under Enemy Arms are two of my favourite Trippie Redd songs, whereas the rest of the album is by far some of his worst material to date. Seriously, what happened? Did he do reverse puberty and just crawl back into artistic prepubescence? I really had high hopes that he would finally make a consistently entertaining project. Well, not this ... read more

I'm actually surprised I managed to enjoy an intro song without being bitter about it being short later. I'm also surprised I've been having such unpopular opinions lately. "53" user score? But this is good! And I don't even have the habit to bop to songs with men!

Trap rap isn't really my thing, but I love how pop rap impresses me with unexpected songs. Also, "They Afraid of You" with that Dragon Ball Z sound effect... exclamation mark

In terms of most mediocre LPs that come out over time, this stood put more than any other to me, and I believe the reason for that, is due to this album sounding like Trippie has given up, entirely. With a quite large discography under his belt even though not being around for that long, it has reached the point where if he continues his career like this, its over for him. For him to completely rid of some tracks from this album just screams that he cant take criticism at all. It's ... read more

Yall like YBN Cordae and hate on this? Has some strong Cudi vibes on this one (homage to his home state?), coming out the strongest on Immortal with a dope Game feature. RIOT was nice, Snake Skin, Under Enemy Arms, They Afraid of You were good too.

for the most part, i considered trippie redd to be a fairly decent rapper for what he does. but even for his standards this is certainly lacking. nothing new or interesting is attempted at all on this lp. none of the guest verses are even remotely quality nor add to the tracks they appear on, excluding the playboi carti guest verse. the game's feature on immortal in particular has this very cumbersome autotune portion of it that throws me off heavy upon hearing it. trippie redd himself doesn't ... read more

I thought this would be at least decent because I really liked ALLTY3 but this wasn't it. It was boring and uninteresting, it seemed like he put no effort in to this at all. The way he encourages suicide by saying "if you can't be yourself, kill yourself" that is disgusting to me. The most enjoyment I got in this album is when he flexed airpods which incited just a chuckle and nothing else

yeah Trippie if i don't be myself i should kill myself, YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY FUCKING RIGHT HAHA. and he flex's having airpods fantastic

EDIT: "Everything BoZ" is a fantastic song and it would have been 1000x better if there wasn't a Coi Leray feature, Trippie she's your girlfriend but u could have put her on a different song

As someone who has enjoyed pretty much everything Trippie has done to this point and thought ALLTY3 was probably his best so far at the end of last year, this is probably one of the most disappointing releases of the year so far for me.

I fairly enjoy Trippie Redd's music. But good God, this ended up being more disappointing than The Big Day. Trippie's voice is more annoying than usual, the lyrics are garbage, and what the FUCK is that Carti verse? I couldn't even finish half the songs on this thing, theyre so bad.
The only song worth listening to is Immortal with The Game.

Yeah this is pretty trash. I fuck with a few of the beats on here but the ideas and lyrics that Trippie Redd brings to the table are just so lame and shit. I much prefer heartbroken Trippie Redd, this album is a significant step down from the solid Love Letter to you 3 mixtape. Under Enemy Arms is a good song... the only good song on the album.

Trippie Redd comes up with his second studio album and doesn't surprise at all. Don't get me wrong, the tracks are great, but unfortunately we cannot see Trippie's music style diversity. I'm a big fan, but I expected a little bit more.
