Rusty Cage's Heretics is an interesting record, it juxtaposes the very upbeat and mellow nature of the Folky Singer-Songwriter tracks, the bright guitar and his pleasant voice, with far more depressing lyrics

Modern World is a great example of this, filled with upbeat melodies, some piano in the background and on the chorus a choir joins in to sing:

"It's a modern world that we live in
And you got no place to go
It's a modern world that we live in
And it just ain't made for me"

This Rusty Cage album is a pretty decent record with some stellar songwriting that really shines on tracks where he writes from a different character's perspective.
Rusty Cage’s sophomore album, “Heretics” does not disappoint, as it offers a lot of variety. One moment there is some intriguing rapping from the point of a homeless man, and in the next you’re getting complete chaos in a coffee shop. This album doesn’t fail in keeping you on your feet.
