After resetting their compass on last year’s ‘Iridescence’, the LA boyband are free to move on, and the first taster of new album ‘Ginger’ is a promising first step.
A more lowkey track from Brockhampton but I like it. Kinda reminds me of the Saturation era
Edit: I seriously hate to admit it but I think their sound is going down a route where it's different to what we've heard before from them but just feels like nothing new. This song is SOOO much better with the music video. The black and white, low quality footage matches the tone of the song much better than the GINGER album cover. The music video makes the song like strong 8 for me, but on it's own it's a strong 6 to light 7. Joba's verse and Matt's outro are both great

This was such a weird first single. It's a cool ass kinda psych rap song, I think this is where I think Joba was starting to come into his own, in my opinion.
Bearface entered the song strongly, but that’s where the consistencies end. Kevin’s verse was extremely monotone, Merlyn’s verse was underwhelmingly short, Dom’s verse was alright, JOBA comes in with a long but very good verse, and then Matt ends this song with a bang. Now let’s talk about the beat. It’s good but it doesn’t quite stick the landing.
