It's nothing new for Buckethead to make albums consisting of only one track. He's experimented with making albums that are just one long song, and usually it works amazingly. Celery is definitely a time where this concept works, but it just isn't all that great. This record definitely benefits from being one continuous song, as it makes the whole thing feel like a really cool journey. However, this album just feels more tiresome than normal. This is one of the impressive and fun Pikes for me, as it is one of those Albums, where Buckethead invests all his creativity and affection for music, in just a single long track, filling the entire Pike.
Celery is quite comfortable, you feel like you're on a long journey. I imagine it's not easy to refine such a long experience within 30 minutes, and it's cool because here he brought a very good variety of riffs within a very unique musical theme, It's definitely ... read more
