At times, ‘Lil Baby 3’ comes close to grappling with maturity, but Lil Yachty’s version of adulthood feels distinctly shallow.
Lil Boat 3 is an underwhelming end to the trilogy.
Even if it's not really the album and the trajectory I would have liked for Lil Yachty, Lil Boats 3 shows that he has managed to make up for it, by starting from afar, to offer a bounce and pleasant album.
If a new Lil Yachty album is expected by his detractors to find another way to beat him up, I'd say that as a fan of his early days he didn't really steal it. "Here's like 40 songs that were DEFINITELY NOT just leftovers and half-finished tracks from like 2017 that I had some producers remix and remaster for me, or threw a quick verse on to finish, and called Lil Boat 3. You're welcome! Enjoy!" - Yachty
A bloated soulless generic filler trap album. Nothing memorable about this trilogy closer, except maybe the fact that the features on here make Yachty sound so lame, especially on TD and Pardon Me. Westside is the only track on here I can see myself revisiting without getting bored or pissed off- the booming catchy chorus and the elegant instrumental save the song from Yachty’s rocky vocal delivery on the verses.
