Honestly, unlike most people who finish a full Snoop Dogg discography, I don't hate the guy, he's just ridiculously inconsistent. This record is about as harmless and barebones as you can get, but I wouldn't say I disliked it. It definitely ended on a good note, but that's all I have to say about it. The Slick Rick feature was also solid I guess. I just wish Snoop would stop making his albums so long. I'm just happy that this isn't complete Doggshit. 🙏🙏🙏
Sounds like leftovers from his various albums from the last 5 years. Disappointing to hear from snoop at this point, nothing but bad content here from features like Russ also, though there's a small handful of enjoyable chill summery vibes like "Do It When I'm In It", "First Place", "Focused", "Rise to the Top", and the Roy Ayers Ubiquity interpolation in "I Been Lookin for You". This album is fine, it's tolerable, but I want to take this time to talk about how absolutely fucking bizarre Snoop Dogg is to me.
Snoop shows up wherever there's a paycheck. Anywhere and everywhere. Snoop Doggy Dogg has appeared in countless movies, been featured on countless albums, showed up countless times on television, and even has a fucking cook book, and people STILL REGARD THIS MAN AS ONE OF THE GREATEST RAPPERS OF ALL TIME.
