Raphael Saadiq's new album is a ghospel-inspired record about his melancholy poetry and manifesto.

The 8 year wait was worth it so far...
I'm not even religious, but I appreciate this gospel-inspired style a lot. Christianity is very prevalent here, but I do not think it is irritating, it seem all in good intention.
This album is so fucking danceable and funky. Overall, a very enjoyable listen as well as a satisfying album experience.

Best: So Ready, Something Keeps Calling To Me, Belongs To God, Glory To The Veins, Rikers Island, Rearview

Worst: My Walk
