Hooooly balls, this is a fucking surprise now isn't it? Don't sleep on this one everyone, we all know you would have otherwise!

Did anyone even KNOW Anamanaguchi were releasing music this year? If so, then where the hell did you hear that? Because this is an interesting one. Anamanaguchi is a band that, at lest previously, combined elements of chip-tune, pop punk, video game music, ambient music, punk music, k-pop, rock music and a whole bunch of electronic elements to create a completely ... read more
If Anamanaguchi did a cover of "Wonderwall" it would have both "Bitpop" and "Britpop" as primary genres.

Anamanaguchi is a band that impresses me with its extravagant and explosively crazy electronic aesthetics. They borrow a large part of their sound from 8-bit video games and anime. These EDM synthesizers, autotuned loops and some crazy percussion give a really fresh identity on the independent scene and have a lot of personality when it comes to a bitpop band. ... read more
I never expected myself to fall in love with an Anamanaguchi album (besides the Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack) but here we are. "[USA]" is an explosive and beautiful chiptune/bitpop album that contains some of the best production in the chiptune scene all while providing some infectious melodies.

The growth in production shows early on. "Lorem Ipsum (Arctic Anthem)" starts with a chilly ... read more
The cutest soundtrack for an anime... an anime in drugs :3

Anamanaguchi is a band that baffles me with their outgoing crazy electronic aesthetic. They borrow a lot of their sound from 8 bit videogames, anime and some vocaloid. I wasn't aware of their work until somebody pointed me out that they did the soundtrack for Scott Pilgrim vs The World videogame and oh boy, they were so fit. Those caothic synthesizers, the autotuned loops and some insane drumming make for an identity that's really ... read more
