Without Brian Eno, Roxy Music immediately became less experimental, yet they remained adventurous, as Stranded illustrates.


Coming within the same year of it’s groundbreaking predecessor, Roxy Music’s third album Stranded does see the band head in a more straight forward direction, yet still brings in a good dose of tempering with their sound to see a gradual evolution taking place. The growing tension between Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno while recording For Your Pleasure was so intense, that it even translated to the music itself. Eno reached a limit and left the band shortly after the release of FYP and went to have a fantastic solo career.
