YEAH we actually got a great album this weekend! If you're feeling sad that JIK is mid just listen to this and you'll feel better :)

This album is totally delightful my gosh. In terms of genre it's nothing extraordinary- it's pretty much that straight-up feel-good indie rock sound. But the writing is just really good all around. Fans of Hop Along, Jeff Rosenstock, Charly Bliss, and the Beths don't miss this one.
This was a pleasant surprise for such a mediocre Friday.

So this album is really nice. It feels so comfy and quaint and overall feels lovely. So where do I begin? This album isn't really anything special, but is that a bad thing? Not really. So to start with we have the opening track which is such a strong opener; it honestly reminded me of In The Flowers and how strong that opened MPP. That doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the record; I have found myself returning to this one over and over again. The lyrics could be sharper, but ... read more
These years, I really dig to albums that remind you so much bands at the same time without pushing their own identity. Great Grandpa is in this category for my own pleasure.

Indie pop, delicate voice, folk, indie rock, emo ... many genres are represented here. Everything blend so well, this is absurd. The vocal work for Four of Arrows is really good, it really adds something to stuck the ears.

The tracks oscillate from sad to sweet moments and represent well the weight of passing generation ... read more
