Absolutely gorgeous in almost every aspect, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue/An American in Paris is not only one of the best works in the modern classical landscape, but music as a whole.

This is not my favorite version of the song, but the quality of the recording for 1959 is AMAZING, and it's just two amazing songs. Rhapsody will always be my #1 song, and nothing will ever come close to it. It's so well paced and unique with the blend between classical orchestra music and jazz styles. While telling a comprehensive story.
