This native of Shawnee, Oklahoma of the Choctaw Nation sounds like a mix of Regina Spektor and PJ Harvey in her debut, backed by the Midnight Shivers. Her collection of indie folk tracks offers great promise, but at certain points in the album would benefit from ‘less is more’, as the otherwise superb backing from the Midnight Shivers can intrude on delightful melodies.
