Caetano Veloso's debut solo album... If you are new to tropicalia music this is certainly one of the better places to start, along with Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben, and Os Mutantes.

Each track on here is enjoyable, but 'Alegria, Alegria' and 'Soy Loco por Tí, América' are both especially great.

Caetano sempre me quebra quando imita de leve um sambista dos anos 50 no meio de "Onde Andaras".
A pretty solid album overall. Not as tightly packed with highlights as albums like Gal Costa's self-titled effort, but it's still a nicely flowing album with some quality tunes. The first half is especially solid, with a particularly great opener in "Tropicália" and the profoundly passionate "Algeria, algeria" highlighting a consistently good set of 6 tracks.
