SEVENTEEN being active until this day is Pledis Entertainment's biggest error. Burying their biggest girl group acts like After School and PRISTIN will soon bring them to their demise. "An Ode" is still a thing, though - a recent thing, and my curiosity forced me to try this out.

Came to this one after seeing it won AOTY at the Asia Artist Awards and was very pleased. I had previously only listened to Seventeen's 6th mini album You Made My Dawn and I quite enjoyed that one too. It offers a healthy mix of fun bangers with a few pretty ballads thrown in as well as you would expect from a K-Pop album. I'm not quite sure if this is my K-Pop AOTY though. Absoloutely album of the year for me. Not a hint of doubt.
I can confidently say Seventeen (along with NCT) are the only boygroups I trust to deliver electronic music like real kings.
Jihoon is a genius producer, do not be fooled by only the title tracks.
I would also like to pay specific attention to the track HIT: not every group can pull it off. A simple yet very difficult concept.
An Ode is Seventeen's best album and the best kpop release of 2019.
Well that was ordinary. Nothing stood out as bad but it's probably one of their most forgettable releases for me.
