'Dream Girl' is a canvas spattered with a thousand colours, as Anna of the North experiments with a spectrum of sounds and moods.

this is genuinely so cute! hopelessly romantic and as sweet as honey, dream girl is a warm and welcoming experience from which you'll never get tired of. it's tender blending of synthpop and r&b manages to create a record that feels both modern and nostalgic, like a sunny memory in the back of your mind. anna's voice is delicate, and the lyrics, while rather simple and direct, are still pretty spot-on. obviously there's no groundbreaking material to be found, but there was just something ... read more
at its worst, this album sounds like something out of one of those generic millennial commercials, but at its best, it's very heartwarming and easy to listen to.
Nice follow up to Lover. Love how warm and airy her sound is on this album. Generally songs on love but with a more enthusiastic and hopeful look even when things aren't working out. There are few duds but still pretty consistent.

once more, Anna of the North is fit to introduce love stories bounded by an entranced indie pop that brims enchanting melodies in her sophomore record. she’s come a long way right after her heartbroken debut album, although this time her heart seemed to go down a different road as it deliberately rose from all the casualties it faced.

In this project, Anna sticks to what she knows which is a good indie soft pop music, honestly I wish this could be a little better, but that's fine maybe she's still finding herself as an artist, but some songs like 'Time To Get Over It' & 'Playing Games' are bangers...
