This album is angry at everything so i like that because it has a lot of rages when i get mad i listen to rise again. Good album good band good music good songs good guitar everything good. Listen to this for real goods. #hardcorepunkforlife
This is definitely the step up the band needed from Siren Song and is definitely one of the most consistently fun Rise Against albums in their discography ever.
Densely pack, energetic, and infectious. My only problem with this album is that’s it has a decent amount of filler
For the longest time, i just wrote off Rise Against as another radio rock band without any really great albums. However, The Sufferer and the Witness really surpassed my standards for them. There’s tons of energy and anger for a majority of the tracks, making it a very fun listen. It is a bit long though and the only slow ish song doesnt come until the end of the album so if you are listening the album as a whole the energy can get tiring after a bit. This is a good punk rock/melodic hardcore album, but sometimes falls into that "rebel, punk" cliché, with some lyrics and melodies that are just plain boring, almost sounding generic to me. The voice of Tim McIlrath is perfect for this aggresive, punk type of music. Overall it could be more varied, most of the songs being stick to the same formula, but I can't say that I don't like it.
