Under The Radar

Every track's beat structure is completely different and exciting because of it, yet each couldn't be mistaken for anyone other than SBTRKT. Everything Jerome touches turns into audible gold, making him not just an innovator, but a pioneer of modern electronic music.

Time Out London

This is accomplished, affecting, unique and unusual stuff that demands repeat listening this autumn.

DIY

t’s a far braver album than his debut. Chaotic, experimental, but oddly refined, it looks like Aaron Jerome has released one of 2014’s most exciting albums.

NME

While we may never fully understand his inspiration, when his work is as colourful and inventive as this, it's a small sacrifice.

Pretty Much Amazing

In headier ways than his full-length and in less complicated ways than Transitions, SBTRKT’s newest LP is really, really fun.

Drowned in Sound

Much of the songwriting here appears to be intent on proving that there’s more depth and maturity to the SBTRKT name than we’d anticipated

What we hear is a man playing conductor, curator, ringmaster, director - a brilliant facilitator, yet one never quite able to hold his own on the stage of his making.

He manages to make a cohesive soundscape that varies from what approximates well-made synthpop to trip-hop with obvious R&B influences. Some say that the project is too long, and I have to disagree. The point of it is to be long. Sbtrkt is essentially building a planet, a universe, with the album, and that requires some time. This is one of the few albums that I like to listen to in its entirety, as ... read more

Less inspired and rather confused, he repeats the same inner voices but he's determined to to let them guide him in their mystical place.

I was really excited for this album but it's not really lived up to expectation. There are some great singles and brewing songs but this all undone with a strange order and the odd dud. I feel that there is too much confusion on this record and thats why I think it falls short.
