"Serein" is French for Serene.
This is quiet serene, although I am not sure how French it really is. I still really don't know anything about Devath. Is he French? Are they even a he? I don't know. The one thing I do know about Devath is they are the answer to this dumb hypothetical question I just thought of: What if Porter Robinson made Future Riddim?
It's nice.
Wasn't planning to review this one but @VibesRUs slid me the recommendation so I have since changed my mind.
"serein" follows Devath's usual groovy style of future riddim, much akin to something you'd hear on his "Henka" EP last year but with slightly less scratchy textures in the drops with a focus on a more relaxed atmosphere throughout the track. whilst not as detailed in terms of sound design or atmosphere as Devath’s very best, ‘serein’ showcases a the snappier side of his melodic production, which goes down a treat as expected.
