It's a complete realization of several artistic aims, and of all his albums it remains the most distinctive-- there are hardly any successful imitators of its unique universe.

On Land remains a landmark event in the genre, as well as one of its high-water marks, and sounds entirely up to date 20 years after its initial release. A superb effort.

This is a very interesting album. Despite its minimalistic approach it makes a very wide and diverse atmosphere which definitely is solid for 1982.

One of Eno's best, not just in the ambient series.
