this is growing on me
Dragonforce continues to be a band full of very talented guitarists, who don't make good music. It's a very standard Dragonforce album, and still features every single awful power metal stereotype in the book. I don't think their debut, from the early 2000s has aged well, at all, and the sound here, being very similar, just sounds very stale. I can't even rate this album. DragonForce is a band that just presents itself as a bunch of crazy solos that might surprise you the first couple of times, but get stale after a while. Sure it is impressive to listen to, but there's nothing else to it. I was really hoping to hear something new, but it's just more of the same over the top guitars which turn uninteresting by the third track.
