Probably one of the most underestimated albums Kylie has ever released. This album offers different genres of dance in a grand mixture. Download: The One, 2 Hearts, Speakerphone

The first album Kylie Minogue released after recovering from breast cancer, X has a "I'll try everything once" vibe to it. Forgoing the cohesiveness that characterized her three previous records (Light Years, Fever, Body Language), Kylie's tenth LP hops from genre to genre constantly which makes it a decidedly messy album. Nevertheless, X mostly works because a lot of the songs are really good in and of themselves: 2 Heart is a sensual glam rock, cabaret pastiche; In My Arms and Like ... read more

Kylie Minogue's "X" is a phenomenal electropop record; marking her comeback after a grueling battle with cancer in the mid-2000s. Minogue was fearless and crafted one of her most unique and disjointed bodies of work - containing dance, R&B, glam rock and disco-tinged tracks. Lyrically, Kylie sings about love and desire, namechecks Michaelangelo & asks her listeners to open up their mind's eye.

Favorite Tracks: Speakerphone, The One, In My Arms, Stars & Like a Drug.

'X' is no doubt the best fit of a title for this album as the lack of cohesion in the album tracks makes this the first of her last three/four albums to be so messy conceptually. That being said, the tracks in itself are strong, with a lot of single potential all over the album. There are no skips on this album, so we keep this on our rotation. Personal favourite track: Wow.

2 Hearts - 7.5/10
Like a Drug - 8.5/10
In My Arms - 7.5/10
