In high school, I got very into all the 90s grunge bands. And out of all the B and C tier bands I thought I was so cool for listening to like Screaming Trees, Gruntruck, Cows, etc. None of them were cooler, more sludgy, more snotty, than Mudhoney to me. This record meant a lot to me back then and I haven't revisited it in full for a long time. Part of me expected to love this record still, but I was kind of wrong.
