pretty much everything yungblud has ever made sounds like you tried on a shirt that has thanos as rick ross on it, or something, in your bathroom, and thinking you've erased the n word from history; or throwing the communism manifesto in a lake and thinking it's praxis, like some fucking naga lives in there. this sounds like someone who thinks saying "ok boomer" will fix the economic problems their generation mostly caused are fixed because of it. just pointless posturing and ... read more
As someone who never gave YUNGBLUD a second glance, I’d thought I’d give this a try - I wish I hadn’t.
im sorry yungblud, but your attempts to stand out and to try being quirky flop hard. it's literally the visual equivalent to that one edgy asshole friend you have in high school
It's like a young Alex Turner decided to make a childish emo EP that succumbs to every cringey cliché in the book. I respect the activist message to an extent but sonically it's really not for me.

Favourites: waiting on the weekend
Least Favourites: braindead, casual sabotage, parents
Derivative, dull, overwrought, shallow, these are just some of the many negative adjectives I could use to describe this rubbish. Yungblud is probably one of the worst artists working right now. Anything decent about this EP is the result of things he himself did not do (ie the production).
