Uprising would be the final studio album featuring Bob Marley & the Wailers to be released during Marley's lifetime. Prophetically, it also contains some of the band's finest crafted material, as if they were cognizant that this would be their final outing.

Amazing, impressive quality throughout for what would be Marley's final studio album during his lifetime. The quality is a substantial spike in songwriting quality, as his following and previous LPs had their moments, but were overall weaker Wailers records.

I found an old Bob Marley shirt the other day. I was a fan of his going back to 8th grade. The shirt is tie dye and it's got Bob Marley's iconic smile on the front, probably a symbol for his profound optimism. The shirt is beat to shit, there's too many holes to count and the material is ghostly thin. I brought it with me in my travels to Europe as a shirt to relax in before bed at night.
