Some good moments amongst what is otherwise a largely inconsistent album. I like his experimentation with UK garage / DnB but wish there was less of the female vocal that reappeared throughout.
Lapalux adds another dissonant and ethereal entry to his ever experimental discography. The somewhat industrial and rough edge of Ruinism and End Of Industry is replaced with a nostalgic, UK garage vibe, reminiscent of acts like Burial and Four Tet. Some melodies pierce with incredible force, others fade away without much impact. It isn´t his best release, but Im sure repeated listens will reveal the inner workings of this record, providing clarity to a few questions I still have.
