Steely Dan was always a category of its own and the remarkable thing is that in its less inspiring days, it does its best to keep that category alive.
Criminally disregarded as the worst SD album, due to being lumped in with the underwhelming 2 Against Nature.

So much variety, creativity, and sweeping instrumentations here.

Stands on its own with the rest of SD’s amazing discography, standing even higher than Cant Buy a Thrill, Royal Scam, and Countdown to Ecstasy in my eyes.
