Mark Kozelek's usual rambly formula is embellished with Petra Haden's dreamy vocals, but like most of Mark's recent output, is just not very focused and can be tedious. With 70 minutes of material here, this newest effort is not as long as I Also Want to Die in New Orleans, but still feels far too long with some songs aiming for nearly twenty minutes of runtime. In my review of 'Common as Light and Love...' I predicted:

'At some point in the future I expect Kozelek to start writing songs about listening to these songs as the man's self cannibalism reaches its logical conclusion. Y'know, based on the strength of this, I'd probably dig it'

The moment has arrived! Yes, Mark spends a lot of time here revisiting topics he's spoken about before and refers to the lyrics in those songs.

Not as good as his latest SKM project but for fans of his current style, you'll no doubt get something out of this release.
One of his worst releases ever - And I havent disliked any of his stuff since Red House Painters.
A standard Kozelek spoken word. Too long and not engaging.
