There may be some basic songwriting popping up, but Brand New Day has a good world influences in the sound of Sting’s album, as well as some good themes tackled in its lyrics, such as Tomorrow We’ll See being told from the perspective of a male prostitute and Fill Her Up in which a broke gas station employee has a guilty conscience over stealing money.
