Has anyone actually looked at that 40/100 (2 star) review from The Skinny? Should have never been published, let alone included as a legitimate review of this album. It's two tiny paragraphs of poorly researched nonsense. It should be noted that if that garbage review wasn't factored in here, the album's average score would be an 80/100. Much closer to where it should be in relation to the other albums of 2014.
Feral björkish experiments...... uneven, original, annoying, quite interesting.
Fantastic, surprising and underrated album from canadian throat-singer-songwriter Tanya Tagaq. In Animism, she virtues around many different sound palettes and landscapes and travels to mind-bending places, always keeping the listener very close to her voice.
