I've been listening to a LOT of live records lately, mostly because I've been missing concerts so much. Was supposed to see Joywave back in April, Car Seat Headrest in May, and drive up to Lexington for Xiu Xiu and AJJ in August, not to mention seeing MCR at Music Midtown... this weekend actually. Damn, that one stings. Most of these shows have been rescheduled for next year, so fingers crossed that things return to normal by then. However, by GOD do I miss live music. Good morning! It is 10 AM, just got one of the parts of my final test to finally be considered English fluent, and here I am, listening to a live post-punk album. Should I be worried? Who knows, but this is my first Idles album, if I'm not wrong.

i prefer the studio quality of the tracks but now i want to go to an idles concert
Seeing Idles live this summer was one of the most beautiful and happy experiences of my life. For 40 minutes (it was a festival set) i had my mind fucking blown out of my skull as i felt the most safe and exactly where i was supposed to be that i had ever felt before. Listening to this live album reignited those feelings and moved me deeply.

This is probably the closest I'll get to reliving their Great (lol) Electric Ballroom set from April this year. They've truly recaptured the intensity I felt that night.
