Kevin hits us with a far more lo-fi and rough sound than currents, and fuck it i enjoy it a lot. i love the textures and timbres of pretty much every instrument here - the gentle synth pads, the buzzing bass, the AMAZING drums on the chorus, it all blends together amazingly. i wish Kevin had a bit more vocal presence on the track, he's a bit far back in the mix, but i think overall this is a great track that leaves me super excited for the new album :)
I love the more lo-fi sound to this. Seems like a mix of his psychedelic rock sound on Lonerism and the psychedelic pop sound on Currents, but I'm all for it. Good on ya Kev
Edit: it's already growing on me...

I don't know about this one fellas. Kinda just sounds like a jumble of ideas to me. The instrumental isn't to pleasant and the transitions between the choruses and verses aren't very good. It also ends out of nowhere. I guess the hook is nice but his vocal performance is mediocre. It has a chance to grow but this is by far my least favorite out of the three so far.
I don’t know if this joke has been said before but this song is pretty tame for tame Impala

(For you dummies)
not exciting, adventurous, or controversial
Drums : good !

Vocals : nothing exciting.

Synth sounds : a bit too much, at random places

Composition : the transition to verses/chorus are weird, like there are not from the same song.

Lyrics : Well this is pretty funny to read these lyrics as I enter in that type of phase : what I'm gonna do, when will I have my perfect stable life ?
I like that thema, not necessarly that well written but it's fine.

Overall, cool song ... cool song. Period.
